| | About me: | "machine casualty" 9 & 9 years out then Clam Skin Tissue (hit; tandems?; prohibition?) , got burned; tryin' to learn guitar ... I don't know War (luckily, catharsis is plenty good for me, though I do need that, from where I thought I was comin' from I'd expected coutryside livin' could be real peaceful way, but, since lit up these 'mice' trespass like it's already gone outta style and they're stockin' up for the next whatever & / or it has gone on so long that I'm so schized out [not 'phrenia], mental duress STM and scattered, etc, they may as well be standin' outside the door ready to walk in every time I go so much as to the mailbox without latchin' the door) nor Wartime etiquette, playin' to pass some social time (not meant conversation time necessarily, the game is fun, supposin' other people rockin' it too, for now, likin' cliquein' ya know); though, also, to win
----
am a RISK (board game, '75-'80 rendition, all caps is how the name is, like a trademark I guess, pretty good article about it in Wikipedia.org, I don't know these people who run this site, I s'pose this idea came directly from that other game and it's a trip 'cause the RISK board game is maybe the best boardgame ever, better than Monopoly, better than Stock Market [Whitman '68], etc etc etc) fan too, searched last month and found this strat-game site (really cool idea), drew & loaded a couple of fiction maps on a high from findin' the site (likin' the real ones for learnin' more about land divisions on the planet yet haven't researched any myself [{see interests section below} those two I did do are kinda embarassing, since I'm far from being a graphic artist, but it was a fun exercise [& escape] for awhile and I wondered how they'd play on the site ... that underground one doesn't get anywhere near what I was lookin' for as effect of like you know cave dwellers in tribes and things, somehow mostly totally underground and real dimly lit and things, the other one I'm seein' is too big really and they're both more like an afterschool special than somethin' I'd be proud of, don't get me wrong, I like cartoons and things, you know what used to be a lot of animation on Saturday mornings, though both it's mostly the cave one that I'm disappointed with, how the idea was a lot rawer and darker ... frustrating not bein' able to just pick up the pad and make the idea a reality {right, well, you know, the reality of the drawing, of it having been drawn as the idea that it was to represent}]) ==== trying to value (& encourage) privacy (in the home & personal affairs), independence (interdependent) and liberty ... however I wonder my circumstance may belie the values I find there (the solid walls of my youth finding there are not merely some with incompatible and even antagonistic ways) ==== [after 3 weeks of paid subscription] ... Myself, mostly I find I try to play a pretty even game; though, I do at times err and either unwisely take slight unfair advantage or I'll goof up and get walked on. I don't know war, I enjoy the board game for catharsis (still learnin' etiquete, mach war etiquete); and, searched for what may could count as some sort of social interaction at times (unsure how many shills, computers & real people on this game site & like others, I guess, I look for what I look for in / from people, clique like). Signed on freeloader at first for the 3, then, wanted to see what loadin' a map up was like & to get to sample more of the gameboards, so, I payed for a one month subscription (that's up 5/17/10), gradin' the number of games back down to the freebies. Hoping to get to check in now and then after the month paid is finished to play sometimes for diversion, variety and a brief getaway as I enjoy the RISK(tm) format alot and don't have people in my life for quite some time now to play for real. | | Interests: | music, movies, long drives (road trips in the car), jogging ... Any y'all check out FlightGear.org? trip, hugh? What about Alexander's Persia, Mongols to the West, Barbary Coast and the Islands of the Caribbean ... as new maps? There isn't one specifically about Viking Raids on mainland Europe in the Dark Ages neither, hugh? | | Best piece of advice: | they say like, "...50% of what you read and 1/2 of what you hear" ... ? .... unsure if this is best advice, may be advisable though -- recheck your map(s) if you sign up for premium, re-verify the links before pushin' the publish button, I didn't, they'd been messed with, now I have like 6-7 boards on my turn page that are only sorta playable ... oh yeah, and, if you sign up for a real time game, watch out for someone ahead of you droppin' out all of sudden, if real time you may wanta be there on it else you may get a drop on your rating ... just a game but ... in case anyone's tryin' to do their best to win and get a high rating ... ? (tact & dipolamacy too I guess) ------ helluva vacation for $10 to get a small subscription to strategygamenetwork ... like if you can't much afford to go anywhere but you have some time & need to get away, it's a good escape, some'd say great I'm sure (you worry what it may look like to someone[s] else of course, still) ------ p.s. oh yeah, that flightgear, I bought the binaries on c.d. from ebay (in case there may be trouble downloadin' it, I found the site that said free after the c.d. but the c.d. was only like 10 bucks, the site says it's free to pass on for cost of copyin' it, I guess I could sell 'em but I don't know if my c.d. burner works and I don't have blanks on me and I don't know if it'd be cool to talk that kinda shop here), oh yeah, and, if you like heavy tunes, you need to check out some motorhead, it may get redundant hard drivin' but damn ... try opening sequences of cheech & chong's up in smoke and you may need to watch easy rider from 1969 ... yeah, that Subtrrania, there was this AOL promo disc that had some free games on it that would run on my old os (op systm) from Wild Tangent (sp) called Dark Orbit ... the promo / demo of that game, to my taste, is about as good as it gets and the Big Point Dark Orbit on the surface, still can't get it to run to find for sure, on the surface doesn't look like the other one, that ran down in like gullies and shot flyin' dinosaurs instead of other ships, 4 way thrust (keypad) with pivot on the mouse, etc (could fire maneuvering in reverse to retreat -- like took joust, placed in a saucer [bite outta the mid front] and twisted it 360 3d, granted, without the elevator, but ... sometime around '04 '05 maybe) | Professional Info | | Job title: | I don't have a job (I'm a disability insurance recipient) | | Job description: | (see About Me section above [the guitar part, hard burnout in the situation though so I don't focus nor persist near as well as if I was healthier], hard trip of kept out, I try to forget it) ... part of problem saying anything though is how it could get read as whinin' than explainin' ... ? ... I'm cool enough, it's just a hard circumstance to deal with so the system has been there so far with some money, mostly pays the bills, got a car on the road again kinda recently (though lots of card to tend to now) .... looks like some sorta occult / cultism 'black jack' trip ... lotta heavy satellite goin' on besides the ground trespass ... no bullets, no mortar rounds, no napalm or gases ... it's all mental and messed with mental on the homespace ... I don't know for sure if the 'coldtrip' is self dubbed, the read feed is way too hot (ref MEPS aural testing), for way too long, one very long cold trip. I'm sure that doesn't describe well enough why I don't have a job to have a description for it; but, neither does it begin say what it feels like to've been taken out and kept down as I have been, that is the mental that is very difficult to deal with, so, I try to do things that I enjoy, to feel some kinda productive though not worryin' where the money comes from (less than poverty, but it's something and my family helps out some) ... an independent sort and the presences etc along with the trespass in apartments is way too much for me to deal with functionally ... way too warm if it ain't called hot) | | Company: | Isolation Inc.? (hopefully that title won't get me abducted by the [edtied word] again) | | Company web site: | closest I got is a jumble of blog stuff at: http://www.coldtrip-blogspages-sitemap.blogspot.com/ |
